I returned the first order of these. A day or so after ordering them Amazon lowered the price 4.50 per pkg. I have since ordered 4 more pkgs (40 brushes) @ the reduced price. As for durability time will tell,I haven't had these for very long.
I have only used one of these brushes so far. It's a nice brush and does a great job cleaning your dirty/ fouled firearms. I've got enough now to last me for years. If I should ever need more I'm sure I wouldn't hesitate to buy more. I've bought very similar brushes off Amazon and was happy with them but I think these Otis brushes do have a slight edge over the others. The Otis have better bristles.
These are a good stiff bristles brush that I use to knock rust or dirt off of my metal woodworking tools. I apply oil to the tools and scrub away. They're very durable and the bristles have yet to curl or weaken after a moderate amount of use.
I use these for cleaning small metal parts. Honestly, when I bought these brushes, I wasn't expecting much. I was pleasantly surprised. These are really durable brushes that excel at removing caked on dirt, grime, carbon fouling, and other assorted dirt. I've saved this product to my wish list, and when the ten I bought eventually wear out, I'll buy more.
American Made with Real American Quality.
Chemical Resistant - I have used these brushes with Soaps, Alcohols, Oils, Grout Etching Acids, and Copper/Lead Solvents all with repeatedly reliable results.
These Otis Blue Brushes are a bit stiffer than their White Brushes which also clean stuff well.
The Blue Brushes do the cleaning job that my brass or stainless steel cleaning bushes can do, but the Otis Brushes don't leave scratches like the brass and stainless often do.
These blue bristled brushes are much stiffer than expected but that means they do a very good job of getting off heavy carbon buildup on gun parts. I recommend using light pressure for regular cleaning or getting the Otis white bristle brushes. The handles have a little flex to them, which winds up being very convenient while cleaning.
Great brushes. Gets the job done. Quality bristles. Great price for a 10 pack. Recommended.
